Heroes of Maestia, it's official - we're moving! To help make the move as easy as possible, we've answered a few of the most frequently asked questions.
When is the move?
On January 31st at 00:00, both the website and the game will be taken offline.
When can I play again?
The plan is for early evening on the day of the move.
Will my account be moved as well?
All accounts that have been logged in within the last 6 months will be moved.
What must I do during the move?
You must have one alaplaya.net account created, you can only use this account after moving your actual Maestia account and then linking the game to it.
Further information will be announced at the end of moving day.
Where can I register this account?
You can register and create a new account on www.alaplaya.net.
You must have one alaplaya.net My Maestia login is already tkaen, what now? Do I lose my characters and access?
No, the login name on alaplaya.net does not match your Bigpoint Maestia account, both accounts must be linked manually by you. This ensures that everyone gwts their own account only.
Summary:
- I must register at alaplaya.net.
- On moving day, I need to find out the exact details on how and where I can link my previous Maestia account with my new account at alaplaya.net
- Afterwards, I'll be able to log in to Maestia with my alaplaya.net account.
How can I ensure that no stranger transfers my Maestia account to their account?
We recommend a prompt change of password, as well as protecting your characters by PIN. This will ensure that nobody else gains access to your account.
I have multiple accounts, what now?
You'll need to make multiple accounts at alaplaya.net.
When and where can I download Maestia?
The download will be announced on moving day, and an alternative to patch existing clients will also be made available.
Will it be easy to apply the patch after the move?
Yes, but we recommend the full installation.
How large is the download?
Approximately 3.5GB download size. The installation will require at least 12GB of free hard drive space.
Will the system requirements change?
No, the minimum requirements will not change. However, the new effects, texture settings and HDR will require more PC power than before. These new effects can be toggled off.
What will be changing in-game?
We will publish comprehensive patch notes following the move. We can't disclose any details at the moment, as things are still being finalized.
Will any changes directly affect me as a player?
Yes, they are as follows:
- A majority of the items and characters have been redesigned, so it's a definite possibility that the look of your character will change. This includes the game model and animations, for example the Magicians will no longer have wings. The animations are more fluid and natural. Many of the items are no longer just textures on the body, but properly modeled, sculpted objects. The new levels of detail and texture are much sharper.
- The same changes may affect some of the names and values of certain objects. For example, Orange Level 100 items to Set Items. This brings no disadvantages to you however, quite contrary as there are now three new green sets, the dungeon items have been revised and now drop after every Expert Instance for each class.
- Each area has redesigned monsters, Ells, NPCs, and quest goals implemented, as well as had some dungeon paths changed or shortened occasionally. The Boss order may have changed. There is much to discover, which will surely take some time.
- Many monsters and NPCs have been revised.
- The number of Maestones has been increased from 422 to 1580! Differences in level limits are more pronounced, and the number of charges has also been increased from 10 to 200. All previous Maestones were removed from the game and replaced with new variants. The previous Maestones cannot be dropped in the future! All the previously owned Maestones will have a timer. if this timer expires, the stone will be destroyed. Eventually, all of your old Maestones will deteriorate over time. There will be enough time given to receive new stones, however. The amount of time given will compensate for the move.
- The inventory has been reduced from 60 to 20 items. All goods which are in the remaining spaces will be held for 15 days within the user's Inbox. This should help compensate for the move and allow time to sort things out.

- Quest and Character progress
- Your Luma, your Gold
- your DP
- additional items and the quantities
- your current Premiumbuffs/Bags/Mounts
Will there be an increase in the level cap?
No, 100 will remain the max level.
What will happen to my Orbs?
Your Orbs will be transferred on January 31st and will be converted into AP.
